You may notice as you view my mugs that the handles appear to be upside down.  I would argue that they are in fact right side up as they are designed for maximum comfort in the hand and greater ergonomics than the mass produced "right way up" handles on other mugs.  The upside down handle allows at least three fingers if not all to be inserted around the handle without them ever coming into contact with the mug full of hot beverage.  In addition, my upside down handle allows for the mug to be held without torquing your wrist at an odd angle to your arm as you tip to drink from it or just try and hold it.  So now you can enjoy the comfort of your mug as well as the hot drink held within it.
